Dr. David A. Taylor is a native of Washington D.C. He is a graduate from the District of Columbia public school system and is an alumnus of Park University where he earned a B.S. degree in Human Resource Management. He completed his Master of Divinity and Doctor’s of Ministry Degrees from Andersonville Theological Seminary with primary disciplines in Pastoral Leadership. Dr. Taylor accepted Christ in July 1976 and was baptized with the Holy Ghost August the same year. He accepted his ministerial call and preached his trial sermon in February 1977. On April 15, 1977 he married the lovely Sheila A. Gravitt and together they continue to serve in ministry. Dr. Taylor is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving honorably for 23 years. His tours of duty carried him around the world and afforded him the opportunity to preach the gospel of Christ in such places as Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Bosnia. After retiring from the military in 2003, Dr. Taylor and wife relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia and organized Shiloh Ministries COGIC Evangelistic Center Inc. where he serves as the Sr. Pastor. He has served faithfully in many capacities within the Church of God in Christ to include, National, Jurisdictional, and District Evangelist, Jurisdictional YPWW Vice President, and District Superintendent.
Currently, Dr. Taylor serves as an Administrative Assistant, and District Superintendent within the Northern Georgia 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the dynamic leadership of the Honorable Bishop Mark Walden. He also serves the National Church as a member of the General Assembly Resolutions Committee. With an humble spirit and grateful attitude, Dr. Taylor preaches the gospel under the anointing of God with simplicity and clarity, ministering a mind changing, heart changing, life changing word.
